Not a lot to see. Outside the cruise port is a small village with a few shops and workers house. Just south is a small fishing village called Mahahual  which has a malecon  along the beach.

Easiest  day is to take the tram to the malecon get off and walk along the beach with its clubs, and shops. Then grab a taxi back to the cruise port.

A little more strenuous is a tour to one of the nearby Maya ruins with a guide. Native Choice is the best vendor to book with. A little more sightseeing of nature would be to take their excursion to the Bacalar Lagoon.
