jsfountain Posted February 2, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2006 hey, we are taking a costa cruise out of Ft Lauderdale at the end of this month. we will be driving down to the port. does anyone from FT Lauderdale have any suggestions on where to leave our car for a week during the cruise? any lots near the port? or perhaps a hotel with shuttle service to the port? any thoughts or insight would be grateful! jeff (atlanta)
cruisehawks Posted February 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 2, 2006 We stayed at the LaQuinta airport location and it was WONDERFUL! They offer a free shuttle to the port with a nights stay. I am not sure about a park and sail program. Give them a call.
DAMIFIKNOW Posted February 2, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 2, 2006 There are parking garages at the piers,it would be cheaper that way then renting a hotel and not all hotels have park and cruise, you can drop off luggage and then park
taszmom Posted February 3, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 3, 2006 If you are staying @ hotel you may get free parking & shuttle, but if not, the least expensive way to park is Park N Fly.It's about $9/day vs $12/day @ pier. They offer shuttle service. http://www.parknfly.com Costa has it on their website and it may be @ a discounted rate. Most of the hotels on 17th st or near the port charge parking fees. Any lots would be @ shopping plazas on 17th st, but that's not a good option. If you're lucky enough to not get towed, you would have to take a taxi into the port, you can't walk it. I did the Park n fly, but honestly it's worth the $12 per day to be @ the garage right next to the pier.
