broadwaycam Posted December 1, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2019 Does anyone know what the Cyber Monday sale will be? Will they have reduced deposit or will it still be the $250 deposit per person?
Clarea Posted December 1, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2019 Reduced deposit is unlikely.

JTBCruiser Posted December 1, 2019 #6 Share Posted December 1, 2019 (edited) I did get a decent shore excursion on Rhapsody, Jolly Roger snorkel in Roatan for $70. I normally book directly with the vendor but not this time. Edited December 1, 2019 by JTBCruiser typo

The only thing I was interested in was the dining plan and that is 4 bucks more then previous sales on one sailing and it shows full price on my other sailing.

Prices are the same as they were Friday on most things for my sailing, and actually higher on a few things. I saw nothing lower even though RCI's website claims it's the "biggest sale ever". More like what-ever.
Rare luckybecky Posted December 2, 2019 #14 Share Posted December 2, 2019 We haven't been impressed with the "sales." I was hoping our drink package would go down. It did. From $59 to $55 per day. Woo-hoo. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad for even a little savings, but roughly 6% off is not a great deal IMO. Especially on a port intensive Med cruise where we will be off the ship much of the time. A few excursions have decent markdowns. Others not at all. As for the cost of the cruise itself, I don't see any indication of a sale at all. Prices have gone up, recently, if anything. I'm disappointed. This is our first time on RC, and after reading on the boards about sales, I was hoping to get maybe a little price drop on the cruise, or a deal on drinks, or something. Turns out to be mostly a bust. BTW, we are doing back to back Eastern and Western Med cruise July 2020 on Explorer of the Seas.
SNJCruisers Posted December 2, 2019 #15 Share Posted December 2, 2019 Same as a few days ago. UDP is still 199, UBP is 61 and the only "deal" is 19 for refreshment package. That adds 1058 to the cost of our cruise after factoring in the 18% on the 80 bucks for the drink packages.

gi_pam Posted December 2, 2019 #18 Share Posted December 2, 2019 I've been watching a cruise for a week now. Waited on Black Friday sale, no different than prices last week (instant rebate vs OBC, but other than that basically the same). Cyber Monday sale? Same as Black Friday. No change in price. What's really frustrating me is the cost for the 3rd person (17 year old daughter). The third person is significantly more than the first and second. Still not as much as booking two cabins. Well, we could book two inside guarantees, but then we could be on opposite ends of the ship. Kids sail free, all others pay through the nose. JBSteelerfan Posted December 2, 2019 #19 Share Posted December 2, 2019 We were hoping for some specialty dining sales, but nothing so far. Not an option that we have to have, so if not a deal available, we won't book it. Did find a small savings on a shore excursion though.
karen11g Posted December 2, 2019 #20 Share Posted December 2, 2019 Got an email listing many Cyber Monday "deals," one of which was Buy one, get one half off deluxe beverage package. Followed it and saw same price that has been there since I booked: $55. Called and the very nice woman told me, no it's actually off the on-board price of $69, and that the awesome sale price would cost us almost $1,000 for a 7-night cruise (incl taxes). They can set their prices wherever they want, but they didn't inspire any customer loyalty by lying to me.
BillHoo Posted December 2, 2019 #21 Share Posted December 2, 2019 I was looking at a cruise last week and the price increased this morning by about $6. Guessing the availability shifted due to people booking the cheaper cabins and moving the bar up.

No, after my next two RCI cruises, I may be looking elsewhere. Some cruise line must want a satisfied cruiser. I had a lovely HAL cruise with my sister in law two weeks ago, and I liked it very much! I will keep on searching......

What a joke and Royal Caribbean must think we are fools. I was very excited hearing tales of 126.00 UDP from last Black Friday and logged on Friday morning only to see that the UDP was actually 4 dollars MORE (179.00) than it was a few days before at 175.00. lol. I have no desire to book another Royal Caribbean cruise so I havent even bothered looking. They have officially priced me out.
