The_Portlandian Posted December 3, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2019 Looking for someplace local before our cruise to get things started off right. We're leaving on a Sunday if it matters. Thanks!
Rare LHT28 Posted December 3, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2019 What do you consider "best" ? Are you stay in Miami the night before? Flying in the morning of the cruise? Some like steak & eggs for breakfast some people are happy with a lighter meal
Rare Noxequifans Posted December 4, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 4, 2019 We always enjoy the excellent breakfast at Ole in the Intercontinental ... not sure if this meets OP's needs.

Hoyaheel Posted December 17, 2019 #11 Share Posted December 17, 2019 We almost never do a hotel buffet, so wasn't considering that ;-)
BlueHerons Posted December 17, 2019 #12 Share Posted December 17, 2019 I haven't eaten in David's since it moved about a decade ago but it used to be a little more upscale. I also like News Cafe on Ocean Drive. It is an iconic Miami Beach restaurant open 24/7. It was also where Gianni Versace went to get his newspaper right before he was shot.
Disnyfan2 Posted December 17, 2019 #13 Share Posted December 17, 2019 sorry, BlueHerons. The reviews of News Cafe are horrible on Tripadvisor. Thanks for the recommendation, anyways

Thanks for the recommendation, anyways I've been eating there for 20 years and I've never had a bad meal. Twenty years. Also, I'm not a fan of Trip Advisor. I do occasionally take a look at yelp. My family has been in the restaurant business for four generations so I do know what to look for.
