They go up and down, some are open and some are currently closed.  Don't know if they slide or lift.  Someone who has sailed on the Edge will have to let us know.

It looks so odd....like an apartment building, not a cruise ship.

Hubby walked through the room, looked at the Edge and said "It looks like a floating apartment block."  I agreed!
