FOOTBALL ON THE EQUINOX

Will we be able to watch Sunday football on our 12/14 Equinox Cruise?  Where? Specifically the Bears/Packer game.

There will probably be football shown somewhere. No way to predict which game though.

Possibly in your room if enough interest or the Casino Bar is usually a good place to check.   If there is a major game, e.g. Superbowl, they will have a big party and have used the theater in the past depending on timing.

In our experience ask on boarding...We have asked butlers, guest relations and invariably have found a quiet bar tender the best bet...Even if they are not interested in football themselves they will know a member of staff who is and try to find out for you.

Casino bar and Craft Social generally show sports.

All games available on the ship are available in your cabin or in bars on the ship. Usually 5 NFL games available on a Sunday. Two 1 p.m. games, two 4 p.m. games plus the Sunday night NFL game. Also Thursday night and Monday night games. No way to tell in advance of sailing which games will be on but you can ask upon embarkation.

ugh...this was the biggest complaint of my DH when we were on Silhouette over Thanksgiving...no real place to catch the game.  The casino bar had a game on but if you weren't interested in those teams, then you were out of luck.  Dh never really found a good place to watch a game.  We saw several people streaming a game on their own devices with people huddled around them trying to watch.  Definitely an area in which Celebrity could improve IMO.

Sadly, we didn't find this to be the case on Silhouette.  Not many games available at all...  If they were broadcast in the staterooms, I don't know...maybe.  But we had no interest in hanging out in the room.  Some people might, though.

We were on the Equinox 10/24-11-9 and saw many games on in Craft social on Thur. Sun. And Monday night.Do not remember how many at a time but seems like two games most Sundays! We had fun!!

The Packers are doing so well that they may flex the start time of the game as Da Bears still have a chance at the playoffs  and it is also the oldest rivalry in football. I would think that you would have a good chance seeing the game but if not there will be other games on. Have a great cruise!!!

Perhaps things improved after the Revolution, but last year I was not able to stream college football games to my computer on the Equinox.  There was a lot of buffering that made the game unwatchable.  I'm sure it depends on the location of the ship to the satellites and the overall passenger use, but this was my experience.
