The Port of Prince Rupert ,British columbia Canada

Recommended Posts

We booked a Sun Princess 14 night cruise & this  port is one of the last ports for our cruise .

We are in from 11AM to 6 PM  . From what i can see the   tour via boat to see the Grizzly bears is 7 hours & too long . Then there is a 4 hour tour to see the different whales ,dolphins ie , Then there is the Museum of North British Columbia & Prince Rupert Visitors Center & Interpretive  Center

It rains 220 days per year in this port area ,

What are the better things  to plan   considering the amount of time weather & then cost

Thanks in advance for all replies

Used to be in Prince Rupert overnight every couple of days. Went ashore once and never found a need to return. Others may have a different opinion, but for us it would be a quiet ship day, hoping others didn't have similar plans.

Rain 220 days/yr is a conservative estimate.

Much like Ketchikan, which averages 229 precipitation days per year.  You should expect precipitation in all of the Alaskan pan-handle ports.
