Ensenada

Take a shuttle or bus to town...or a leisurely walk out the terminal, left on Cardenas Street...about 20 minutes.  The main street is full of shops, restaurants, and you'll hear plenty of passengers (thanks to margaritas) enjoying themselves at the many bars.

Ensenada is covered in the Mexican Rivera board, here:

Leather products can be bought on virtually every corner in Mexico.

Ensenada isn't considered, or covered, on that board ::

Mexican Riviera

Includes: Acapulco, Cabo San Lucas, Loreto, Manzanillo, Mazatlan, Pichilingue/La Paz, Puerto Vallarta, Topolobampo & Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa, Mexico

It most certainly is covered there despite Ensenada not being on the "includes" list.  If you bothered to look at the Mexican Riviera board before needlessly reopening this thread, which by the way had been  inactive for 18 months, you would have found Ensenada threads. There isn't a lot of discussion of Ensenada there because it's not that frequent of a port call compared to the typical Mexican Riviera ports, but it most certainly is the board where it's discussed.

Never been. Is there any place to buy decent leather goods?

Yes, there will be places to buy when you get off the ship.  Ensenada has turned into a mini-Disneyland in the last couple of years down by the cruise port.  Not sure you will get any deals.
