ctkathchick Posted December 28, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2019 Does anyone know why when you go to look for a Carribbean cruise during the month of September either no cruises are available or only a few that are only 4 day cruises? We were out with some friends last night and decided that we would like to do a 7 day in September and now can't find one. I've looked on Ncl as well as other sites. I just don't get it lol
Rare All-ready2cruise Posted December 28, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2019 My guess, and that's all it is, is that it's high hurricane season. In the past, some cruises to the Caribbean in that timeframe had to be redirected north due to TS/or hurricanes so maybe NCL has decided to just go to different areas. Plus, some ships are still in Europe or on the way back to NA... .
waterjock Posted December 29, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 29, 2019 It is one of the slowest months of cruises to the Caribbean. So they offer short low price cruises that people can take a chance that weather will not be a problem.
Rare Peachypooh Posted December 29, 2019 #4 Share Posted December 29, 2019 Also it is still Alaska season.
Rare lepidoptera Posted December 30, 2019 #5 Share Posted December 30, 2019 Also some of their ships are still in Europe. Getaway’s transatlantic from Barcelona to NY isn’t until December!
cliffd64 Posted December 30, 2019 #6 Share Posted December 30, 2019 It's simple logistics... Ships are still positioned in Europe, Alaska and beginning to do the Canada/New England at this time... Come late October you will see ships re-position to ports servicing the Caribbean.
