Joanandjoe Posted February 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2006 We'll be in Bermuda on the Zenith in mid-May. While Celebrity has not yet posted its shore excursions, most lines offer the town crier candlelight tour in St. George. If we could book it on our own, it probably would be less expensive than through the cruise line. Has anyone found a way to book this tour directly, rather than through the cruise line? Another evening activity we've done in a number of places is a ghost tour of towns or forts. Does anyone know if there are ghost tours, or other evening tours, in Bermuda? smeyer418 Posted February 3, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2006 don't bet it will be less espensive. Not in Bermuda any way. the cruise lines have had discussions with he town people and they are about the same, in fact I went on one that was cheaper on the cruise line! I would suggest NOT going on the same one as the rest of your fellow cruise members. When we went to Bermuda last year on the Horizon (God rest her soul) we found our own tours to take. A few things you have to your advantage is that the ship will be there, in port, for a few days giving you ample oppurtunity to do pretty much anything you want. We found that the snorkle tour we did (not with the cruise line) was much less expensive when WE booked it and since it wasn't during the same time as the Horizon's excursion it was much less crowded.
