Sorry you are having problems with tap a talk.  I found the same thing and quit using it when CC changed the format so it’s easier to post pictures.

Thanks for reminding everyone on the different ways to find your blog 🙂

We are leaving Iguazu Falls today (IGR) to rejoin ship. There was a strike at the airport and we had to walk 1km past barricade to catch another taxi.  Apparently some workers haven't been paid for months.

We are independent.   Hope the HAL tour is OK    They may be leaving from Brazil side which is unaffected.

more on twitter and the blog when I catch up.

Iguazú (LAVOZ) Again Iguazú claims will cause inconvenience to tourists who intend to take their flights at the Iguazú international airport today Thursday.

Employees of the Rivas-Ratti construction company reported that access to the air station will be cut off meters before and after the checkpoint.
They are Workers, employees of the company Rivas-Ratti S.A, who carry out the work of the Iguazú airport, began a strike at the end of December and continued during January, without getting answers from the company.

I hope no one needs a wheelchair!
How did the luggage get to the terminal?

We were by ourselves with only carry on.  People who needed assistance probably had to wait.  Not sure how long they kept the road closed.

Ah, that made it easier for you.
Thanks for clearing that up for me. I'm reading another blog by someone who was on the HAL tour there, but they haven't reported on getting back to the ship yet.

The HAL tour may be leaving from the Brazil side.  In which case no issue.    They probably left with huge time buffer.   They would have time to find taxis that were stuck inside to shuttle people.   But they would sull

have to walk 3/10 a mile on level pavement.

I'm on the HAL tour and we left from Argentina so we had to do the walk from the buses with our luggage in the rain. The few people that would need a wheelchair at the airport were able to get a cab just past the barricade and it wasn't a short walk there and it was slightly uphill and wet and muddy. We and several others walked a lot of it and then caught a cab just at the actual entry to the airport for only $4 which was a bargain.  Quite a few including our tour escort and guides walked the whole way and it started pouring before they made it the whole way. Somehow the plane left on time and we just arrived at our Buenos Aires Hotel getting ready to leave for the Tango Show and Dinner in 45 mins.  Long day!

Ruth - We re-board the ship tomorrow afternoon so our blog probably won't be updated for today until Sat morning.

Sharon, Thank you so much for posting.  Pete was so nice to list blogs for the 2020 WC and I always tune into the "John and Sharon" blog.  I don't think I would have imagined that participants on a HAL excursion would be walking through the rain with their luggage.  Hopefully there was help for the passenger who seemed to need a lot of help.  I appreciate your great attitude.  Judy and Pete have the same positive approach to hurtles that appear.  It's fun to "travel" with all of you.  Cherie

Thanks for the report on how you got to the terminal. I was wondering how the strike might have impacted you, as yours was the blog I was referring to in my earlier post.
Glad you are back in the big city safe & sound.
