Recommended Posts

Pictures taken between Monday, January 6 and Sunday, January 12.

Rules: See above

That's it. This isn't a contest.

All photos taken this week are welcome (not just cruising).

Prizes will not be awarded. Discovering the joy of photography is the prize.

The idea is to get folks out using their cameras for more than vacations and toddler birthdays.

Post one. Post many. Up to you.

Have fun with your camera and share your fun with others!

Photo taken from the Williamstown foreshore (200m from my house) looking towards the Majestic Princess at Station Pier, Port Melbourne. Monday noon.

We are totally shrouded in bushfire smoke trapped under cloud.

Such a wonderful thread!! I hope more people join in. Thank you for starting this.

From the sad shroud of smoke with having to look really hard for the Majestic Princess to wildlife and outdoor ski runs it really gives you perspective!

Thank you

Denise😊

Sunday found us with a large percentage of the local family trekking up and down the hills of the San Diego zoo enjoying all of the new improvements introduced during the six years since our last visit. Near the end of the fun but wearisome day, we passed through the dark, subterranean viewing area of the aquarium. In one corner, a shaft of sunlight from the open top was broken into its component wavelengths as is was diffracted by the acrylic panel holding back the bazillion gallons of water. Jackie found it (with some prodding from her grandfather who saw a sure candidate for Picture-A-Week) and ended up fascinated by the colorful Ghost Jackie in the reflection. 50% staged. 50% found. 100% little girl seeing science as magic.
