What time do we have to be off the ship?

Recommended Posts

Thank you to everyone who has been helpful and has answered all of my questions.

Here is another one;

  • When the cruise is complete and we are back in port, what time do we have to be off the ship?
  • What time should I schedule the Shuttle to pick us up and take us back to the airport? Is 11:00 - 12:00 an okay time?

Thank you in advance!

9 to 9:30 at the latest.  They want you off as early as possible.

Remember, you were anxious to get on when you started your cruise.

So are the next passengers.

Also keep in mind, when it’s over, it’s over. There’s no ‘fun’ to be had on the ship when it’s time to disembark. When you wake up that morning, the bars, pools, entertainment venues, gym, etc. will all be closed. You can basically just eat breakfast, grab a coffee, and sit around until they make you leave around 9 AM. We book early flights and get off as early as possible to get home.

out of the cabin by 8, off by 9 or 930.   all public venues will be closed except for the very limited dining hours  at WF and MDR.

the you just have to  factor in  customs/immigration and finding your luggage

Very well put.  The last morning the ship has a strange vibe, most everything closed.  There's nothing to do but eat and get off.  Unless as someone else said you're on a B2B😋

We were just on a B2B and they kicked us out of the Cafe Promenade before 10. We were planning to get lunch and explore Galveston so wanted to stay on as close to lunch as possible. We could have gone to the theater and got off with all the other consecutive cruisers around 10:15-10:30. But that’s about the limit. They need to have zero passengers as soon as they can so they can start loading new passengers.

Very good point.  We dont even bother eating breakfast anymore.    My cruise is over that last night the minute I go to bed.  Disembarkation morning is depressing and somewhat organized chaos.  All those smiles and welcomes you got all week are frantic looks of "thank you for sailing with us, now please leave this ship ASAP"

We actually had a great breakfast on disembarkation morning in the main dinning room.  Usually I do fined the service to be poor the final morning but this time we had a waiter that was very pleasant even though we showed up at 7:55 and they closed at 8am.   There was no mention in the papers of having to be out of your stateroom by 8am so we returned to our stateroom after breakfast finished packing up booked a couple of tickets to the Miami Heat game for that evening and walked off the ship around 9:15 with our luggage.  Our luggage tag time was for 10:15 but that didn't matter as we just carried our bags off ourselves. We then hopped on the shuttle to Enterprise and there were some rude passengers from the MSC cruise ship so was glad they weren't on the Explorer 🙂
