River Cruising with some limited mobility

Can anyone recommend a good route based on personal experience for someone who still walks, (generally with a cane) but cannot be on his feet all day and may have to sit for a bit while others walk around.  We are wide open on any European river cruise.  We've looked at different itineraries, and spoken with agents at Viking and Avalon, but would like to see if anyone here has personal experience.  - Thank you!

Welcome to Cruise Critic.  I see you have been a member for a few days, and hopefully you have done some reading around the boards.  We do have a separate board here for River Cruising, and you might find it helpful to do some reading there, and ask your question there, too.  I have not taken a river cruise, but from what i read, there is a lot of walking involved in touring.  EM
