Singles or solos

Nowhere precisely defined, use great caution when reading marketing hype, they can say anything they want. Most people do use single for marital status, solo for travel status.

There is in-between status, single, with a group and attending group activities, but otherwise solo.

They don't seem to care at the NCL solo meetings.  I have seen people traveling with parents, two women traveling together and I was welcomed when I traveled with 2 of my teenage granddaughters.  I didn't see much of them either.

I'm both. Some people who travel solo get really mad when referred to as single. In the UK I think this is less of a deal than the US for some reason (just my perception).

Although I wouldn't get mad about it, I would definitely correct anyone who referred to me as single.

I travel solo because officially I'm a widow - but I still consider myself married.
