Our cruise ends in. Vancouver.  The flights to Orlando are terrible or very expensive. Any suggestions how to get to Seattle which offers better flights? Thanks

Take a Princess transfer from Vancouver to Seattle.

Sometimes they don't offer it until sometime during the cruise.

It arrives at Sea-Tac around 1:30pm.

If Princess are not offering the shuttle take these guys.  https://www.quickcoach.com

They take the same route to Sea-Tac. They PU right outside the port terminal/Canada Place around 9:00am.

I would be be researching this on the West Coast Departures board:

because it is about ground logistics of traveling from Vancouver to Seattle, not the flights. But considering you may find the transport cost, and the possibility you can't fly at a reasonable time back to Orlando without spending the night in Seattle, the Vancouver airfares really aren't so unreasonable.

Rent a car, take the bus, take the train. May be a good excuse to take an extra day and see the beautiful sites between Vancouver and Seattle. And, of course, as stated above - do the math on this extra travel cost and make sure it's actually worth it, including the cost of your time.

Yup, 'good' flights to Florida are hard to find from Vancouver - at least you want a major airport through, our main reason to visit FL is a friend in Gainesville so that's even more hassle to fly to than Orlando!

On occasion we have found that a flight from SEA saves enough cash to be worthwhile paying for a hotel - but unless you value your own time at zero, odds are by the time you fork over the $59pp for Quickshuttle (or $33 for Amtrak/as little as $1 for Bolt, plus a cab fare or two) the actual $ savings are minimal, and in terms of time saving you have to weigh an extra connecting flight against the 3-4 hour drive (plus padding - what if your bus or train runs late? Don't want to miss your flight so you need to look at a red-eye...)

If you've got pre-cruise time in Vancouver so don't need any post-cruise, consider a morning flight via Toronto - the first leg is domestic so you have one less thing to do at YVR, meaning you can safely book a flight as early as 10am. Both WestJet and Air Canada offer one-stop flights on this route - just be aware that you need to do US Immigration & Customs preclearance in Toronto so a 2 hour connection is a good length of time to aim for. Self-disembarking ensures you beat most of the crowds, and if you can physically roll or carry your own bags off the ship that means you can also use SkyTrain easily - which is the most reliable and fastest way to YVR. Most ships start slef-disembarkation by 7:30am, but even if you walk off the gangplank at 8am you'll be at YVR well before 9am - and since you can check bags up to 45mins in theory even a Domestic first leg as early as 9:30am becomes plausible.

Of course if you don't have pre-cruise time scheduled (or even if you do!) post-cruise overnighting for 1 or several days isn't just a very enjoyable thing to do - we do after all have more people and stuff than all the AK ports put together - but it also makes flying much more flexible as it opens up the first tranche of flights each day. We generally make use of a <7am departure when we're heading to the east coast, as these ensure we'll actually arrive at a civilized time and also tend to be better-priced than afternoon flights as well as having more options (5+ hours in the air plus a 3 hour time change means the bulk of flights to the US east coast are either early- to mid-morning or else they are red-eyes).

You also have less hassle at YVR earlier in the day - there's no chance of any disembarking cruisers arriving to clog up the airport before 8am, and the cruise transfer buses which cause most of the congestion won't roll in until more like 9:30am.

Not sure I see the problem.  There are some crazy cheap flights from YVR to MCO in August, as low C$520 return (400 US)

What were you expecting?  Understand the the US puts about $40-50 in taxes for entering the USA by air, so you're never going to find an amazing deal.

Also, you're not going to find midday flights, given the time zone issues, so your ooptions are 1st thing in the morning (which you wouldn't make), or red-eyes to the east coast

If you have extra time on your hands you may find a better option is to fly from Vancouver to Las Vegas.  Spend a day or two there and then fly to Orlando.

WestJet has seat sales from time to time. As do other airlines.
