New to Silversea...many questions

We have cruised over 35 times but we will be trying Silversea for the first time this October on the Silversea Moon to Croatia.  Here are some questions we have:

1.  How formal are formal nights and are all of the restaurants formal?

2.  We specifically drink Grey Goose Orange or Absolute Mardarin but we were told the ship does not carry either?  Is this true?

3.  We were told that they could maybe special order either for our consumption only?  Does that mean when we go to a bar they pull out the bottle just for us and no one else can have it?

4.  Are any shore excursions included?  I've read that there are a few that are, on past cruises the "free excursions" were not anything we wanted to do.

5.  If we do a shore excursion with the ship and then want to go off on our own and meet up with the group when headed back, would that be permitted?  Seabourn was very accommodating about this.

Thanks.....

Most gents on formal nights wear dark suits.  A minority wear tuxes.   The Grill/Hot Rocks is always casual, as is the pizza restaurant on the deck above.

Don’t know

It would probably be for your consumption only.  There may be a surcharge for this special order if these are pricey.

Rarely included.  They were in Caribbean for some cruises this year, apparently to partly compensation for government mandated cancellation of Cuba stops.

Difficult to generalize.  Would probably depend upon specifics and would need approval of company sponsoring tours.  Shore Concierge on Silversea certainly tries to be accommodating.

Agree with Observer but would like to suggest

Don't know either, but someone suggested to you it could be ordered in advance.  I've also heard this can work.  Maybe this would be placed in your cabin so it would truly be that no one else could have it.

We enjoy an Amaretto nightcap after our evening when out and about.  On our 2 SS cruises, we asked the butler for a bottle in our room first day, and we had fine Italian Amaretto on hand for the duration of the cruise.

Since my DW always keeps flavored vodka in stock here at home, I relayed your question to her.  She thinks she saw it, but is uncertain.

Croatia should be interesting!  Welcome to Silversea, we are glad we found it.

We had a bottle of special single malt on board which was kept in the main bar below the bar.  We could have asked to have it moved to Panorama if we had so wanted.

V:  Did B bring the special single malt or did you pre-order or ......?

We requested it before the cruise and they provided it at no additional cost.  Another time, the F & B manager knew we liked green Chartreuse and since there was none on board, he went and bought a bottle for us!

👍   Thanks ... ☺️
