Having never cruised with Carnival, wanting some input on the Ship, the Triumph. Sailing on her in June and have always traveled with Royal Caribbean.....any thoughts and or helpful hints;)

Also the type of kids programs, other travelers...comparisons, etc.

Thanks for your help!

Just off the Triumph Jan.28th. We had a very enjoyable trip. Ship very clean. Beds very comfortable. Food in the Paris dining room very good. Nice choices. The South Beach Buffet was good most of the time. Not too many choices. The breakfast omelets very good. Our steward was excellent and very accomodating. Our waiter and assistant were also excellent. I must say our cruise was very relaxing and would sail the Triumph again. I'm sure you will enjoy the cruise.

Sailed the Triumph last year with the kids and everybody loved it. My only complaint, and it's minor, would be the crowds. The Triumph is the biggest boat I have sailed on yet and at times during the day around the main pools it felt like it. Having said that though, the seats at the shows were easy to find, the dining room was wonderful and my kids would kill to be back in Camp Carnival again. In fact they were just bugging us this afternoon to book another cruise.

My wife and I cruised RCCL for our honeymoon and found Carnival to be more relaxed with more organized activities (of course RCCL was 15 years ago and things I'm sure have changed.) The kids have been on two Carnival cruises now including the Triumph and have found the Camp activities and staff, along with the regular staff to be extraordinary. By the end of the last cruise our wait staff was sharing pictures of their own nieces and nephews back home with us and our tablemates.:D :) :D

We left the Triumph on Jan. 14 and loved it. We have only sailed on one cruise before and that was on Royal Caribbean. We truly enjoyed this cruise. There are some differences between the two lines but we had a great time and I am sure that you will too. We had our nephews and neice with us and they loved Camp Carnival. They always seemed to have things to do. I wrote a long review you can read if you would like. If you have more questions just ask.

We were on the Triumph in December (eastern Caribbean) and had the best time. Staff was phenomenal and very gracious. Food was excellent and our corner aft was to die for. The bedding was new and you cannot help but want to nap once you sit or lie on the bed.

She was recently in drydock from Oct 23-Nov 12 with lots of new upholstery, new teen club O2.

Hong Kong Noodle Company - phenomenal Seafood XOXO; do not miss out on the Filet mignon with gorgonzola butter, jerk pork, grilled tiger shrimp entree(as a side dish), pumpkin soup, burgers, pizza, 24-hour ice-cream, smoked salmon, morning omelet, cinnamon rolls, hazelnut creme brulee, Cappucinno pie..ohhhh, I could go on forever.

We never found the ship too crowded and actually loved her as much as the Conquest

Aft adult bar area nice and quiet.

Check out past and present Triumph ROLL CALLS there is a ton of information there. I have a VERY long review somewhere here on CC. Lots of pics in link below.

Have a great cruise and wish I was going with you!

On the Triumph we are at the back on deck 6 it looks as though you go down one deck and you can get outside right at the back is this so? if not what deck would be the easiest to get to? we are in 6414 Have to send DH out to see what kind of day it is....

I dont remember an area on the Promenade deck that was outside and I spent much of my time in the evening in the Rio and Casino and dont recall being able to be in the open air. There are windows you can look out of on this deck.

You are close to the elevators; so either go up a few floors to Lido or down to 3 - Lobby and there is an outside deck- I think there is one on the Atlantic deck also...

I Loved that ship!!!!:D
