HELP! CAS Credit

I booked a cruise a few days ago with CAS. I decided to make a payment today. When I clicked on make a payment, a credit of $325 CAS for my husband was an option for partial payment.

I clicked on that selection, note came up, payment was applied. I  went back into payment because I wanted to pay more using a credit card. I was SHOCKED! My amount due had doubled!!!

Has this happened to anyone? is so why? and how did you get it fixed back to the lower amount?

Thanks for any help.

When I log in NCL only sometimes it looks like I owe money on my final payment due last Sept.😮

I've called NCL multiply times over this they don't see what I see and emailed me a receipt of my payments in full.

It still worries me

Yes---there seems to be a problem with my booking also....balance due changes a lot...CAS does not see what I am seeing on the website...

I also tried to use the "credit" and it did seem to take it..but when I called they told me "no"..can't use on discounted CAS cruise..and now  the credit is gone from my page !!!

You can’t use the Casino Reward on a CAS booking.

You will probably need to call CAS and have it fixed. It might fall off on its own but I wouldn’t risk losing the credit.

If it cant  be used why did it show up as a payment option for the CAS reservation ? There were no restrictions noted on the payment page that I saw, if that's correct why did it accept the payment? Is CAS open on weekends?

Similar issues. Booked through CAS for my March Encore cruise. I paid everything in full but the site reflects I owe 105 bucks. Called a few times and they say it is a known issue. I got it in writing but I am still gonna be POed if I get to the pier and have to go through it to board.

Because it’s a new program and they haven’t worked out all the website issues.

I booked through CAS; however, I don't think they actually used CAS credit, as the operator was saying something to the effect that she could get me a better rate (I think they actually used the 30% off special).  (Disclaimer, I was wanting to book Owner's Suite, so would have had to pay difference from my "free" suite.)  When I went to make my final payment this week, the $325 CAS credit was available, so I used it. (And this was after I was miffed because I received the post card about the credit AFTER I had called CAS the week before----and I waited a week to call and the promo had expired, so I just threw it away!  Yay, to NCL for posting on my account anyway!)   I then made the final payment at the reduced amount, no issues.

I can't seem to book La Cucina, though.  It shows up, but when I enter the date, time, # of people and try to add to cart, it never seems to go anywhere.  I was able to book Cagney's, but not La Cucina.  Anyone else had issues?

I can't remember if it's in the passenger contract or not but one thing that can cause a balance to show new charges is the docking fee.  It can change and if it does it would be out of the cruiseline's control.  If the docking fee changes for a particular port you could incur new charges on the very day you were to arrive there.

Granted, that's not going to make your balance due "double" out of nowhere.  But be aware you can pay your balance down to zero and it is possible for that balance to go above zero again for various reasons.
