Has anyone gone to any of these beaches and if so, are they nice and easily assessable by taxi?  Prices for the RC excursions are high, just to spend 4 hours.  I would rather go and come back as I please.

Tortolla - Cane Garden Bay

Antiquac - Ffryes Beach

Barbados - Boatyard, Brandons

St. Lucia - Reduit Beach

Punta Cana - Juanillo Beach

Any other sugggestions/feed back would be appreciated.

Antigua...another option is Dickenson's...$4-$7/person, depending on driver...beautiful...about a 10 minute ride.

Barbados...Boatyard gets too crowded.  Brandon is beautiful but lots of rocks in the water.  Our choice is always Pirate's Cove Beach...plenty of space, put your towel down, and enjoy the beach.  Take the taxi to town...$2/person...walk over the bridge...continue past the Pirates Cove restaurant, about 10 minutes leisurely walk...turn right into a narrow alley.........then you'll see the breathtaking beach.  Happy Sailing!

Fryes Beach in Antigua is beautiful.  There are chairs and umbrellas to rent and there is a restaurant with bar and restrooms overlooking  the beach.  We have not found it crowded, but there are enough folks there to make it safe.  The sand is nice, but depending upon winds, the surf may be a little rough.  You can take a cab and agree upon a time for return pickup.  You could save a few bucks by sharing a cab.

in St. Lucia we took a cab to a beach across from the airport.  It was similar to that in Antigua.
