Is Julius still in Vines ? Ajay ?

and is Junella (Janella) still in Bellini's or Good Spirits bar ?

if so, tell them the couple ( well, wife ) that handed out little Christmas goodie bags on the SKY 12/4 says hello, and see you in November

Good morning (0716 local time) from the Sky Princess.  We are beginning our first of two sea days as we sail towards Ft. Lauderdale and the end of the first leg of our vacation.  We are also on the next sailing (Western Caribbean).  As I stated in a previous post, this is our first back to back cruise.  We unfortunately have to switch cabins but we did luck out and got another PH on Riviera deck that is only 5 cabins away from our current cabin also on the starboard side of the ship. For those of you that may be wondering (as I was) on how to do a b2b, it's actually quite simple.  Either today or tomorrow, we will be receiving notice on where to meet with other b2b cruisers (usually in a dining room) on transition day.  At an appropriate time, we will be escorted off the ship, have some formalities taken care of, and be escorted back on the ship.

As far as today goes, Holli has a early massage appointment.  I might take a few more pictures and continue work on cataloging and touching up pictures I've already taken.  I will also probably do a load of laundry and start putting stuff in my suitcases to get ready for the move to the new cabin.  Part of the transition to the new cabin will be the cabin steward (we keep the same one) will move all of our clothing that is hung up to the new cabin,  He will also move our luggage to the new cabin.  We are responsible for moving items from the drawers; hence packing the suitcases before transition day.  As far as any other activities go, I will probably play it by ear.

Thats all for now.

Hope all are well.....😊😊😊

When we have had to change cabins, they told us to leave the stuff in the nightstand drawers.  Then they just swapped out the drawers with the drawers from the new cabin.  Either way, they have it down to a science.   Thank you for doing the live.

Blue cow dog;

Thank you for the kind words regarding doing the Live From.  It is something I truly enjoy doing on every cruise I sail.  Our steward told us we'd have to move the items from the drawers.  No matter though as as you stated this isn't their first rodeo and they definitely have it down to a science.

Have a great day.....😊😊😊

If you get a watch on retirement, then you put one in a safe deposit box and watch the price go up.  Did you see the video of the guy who bought a new rolex in 1974 and kept it in safe deposit box?  He paid $345 and today "antique roadshow"; said it's worth $600,000

It is my understanding full suites also get complimentary dry cleaning.  Is this true or am I reading it wrong?  Thank you.

Ever since I have been Elite w/Princess, yes I have gotten free laundry and free dry cleaning. No, you are not wrng. Enjoy the perk. It certainly is nice.

I am not Elite but will be in a full suite next year.  My impression from the benefits is that drycleaning is included.  We will be land touring after the transatlantic so if this is true it would be a great benefit.

Hi Ann;

Certain things I don't like to send out.  We've also used the Suite/Elite perk of free laundry/dry cleaning......

Congrats on the watch. It is very very nice looking.

But what if your squad gives you a watch upon retirement?????

Ann;

That's old school back east stuff.  With my agency, we are just a number.  Heck, the day after I retire, everyone will probably say; "Bob Who?"

When you do your own laundry you can be sure garments won't be lost or returned with tiny holes.  The Sky's laundry lost one of my DW's shirts and one of my shirts was returned with a hole.  Garments returned with holes is a known Princess laundry issue.

It's bad enough losing a garment, but the accompanying hassle to get reimbursed is over the top.  It took about 2½ months to get reimbursed.

By the way, Princess and many other cruise lines no longer offer true dry cleaning due to reduction of chemicals onboard.

I've been asking for a long time (on the after cruise surveys), if we could get credited with the laundry costs if we choose to take care of our own (which I do).  I thought it would be a no-brainer as we also take some of the work off

of the very over worked laundry dept.  Unfortunately, I guess Princess does not agree!

Thanks Lew or sharing your experiences. I guess I have been extremely lucky because none of things have ever happened to me. And perhaps I would feel different about the Princess laundry services if it happened to me.

Have not had good luck with the laundry service either! We do our own laundry! They lost a pair of my capris..of course the pair I liked most, not expensive just fit well. They got some kind of stain on my husbands shirt. Not expensive clothes ..we let it go but learned my lesson!
