Short day ... what to do?

Our ship is only in port from 8:00am until 2:00pm (all aboard at 1:30) 

To save our family of four some money, I am not booking an excursion here. Looking for relatively cheap things to do in such a short time. Thought of taking a taxi to Sapphire Beach but even that is $80 for the four of us and I worry about time. Any thoughts?

In the grand scheme of things, $20pp doesn’t sound like a lot of money to do something in St Thomas. Besides walking off the ship and browsing shops, you’ll be hard pressed to find anything to do without spending a few bucks. You could take the Skyride to Paradise Point which will be a quick, fairly inexpensive activity, but that will still run you $21 per adult and $10.50 per child.
