Quiet sun decks on the revolutionised Solstice ships

Not sure which class ship you are speaking of but the area that is used for the Retreat was IMHO lightly used.

M-Class Ships -  lots of sunbathing on Deck 11 around the upper deck of the pool.   If you want something a little more quiet or shady try further AFT of the Central Elevator and Specialty Restaurant.

On Deck 12 they have installed a Movie Screen and a large area with loungers and comfy seating.

If looking for some shade and a really quiet place to relax try the Promenade Deck.   Port side has a smoking area  and also a non-smoking are  but seating on Starboard is non-smoking.
