yoolykeme Posted January 29, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2020 So, I plan to book tomorrow. They are telling me that I am eligible for the following discounts: 20% off for being Latitudes Platinum 20% off for CET Diamond (yes, cruise consultant said that I can stack #s 1 and 2) $200 casino player incentive $250 CET cruise voucher trade-in $250 Cruisenext So, If I get this correct, a $1,000/pp cruise would cost: 1000-20%=800-20%=640/pp 640x2p=1280 1280-200-250-250=580 So it would be $580, plus taxes and port fees, for 2 people. Do I have this correct?

Do I have this correct? What is CET? I booked a cruise thru CAS last month and they wouldn't let me use the $325 CAS incentive with a free cruise. I currently have a free cruise certificate from a land casino. Can that be used with CAS incentive ( I am Ruby) and am Platinum Plus Latitudes, and combined with that also? I assume that you gamble at land based casinos, so it's the Caesars/Harrahs 2nd highest rating group, which you probably know. The certificate is worth $250 if you don't book a listed cruise, and yes, everything that you mentioned is what I am stacking Edited January 30, 2020 by yoolykeme
Socalev Posted January 30, 2020 #14 Share Posted January 30, 2020 I don't think you can do #2 and #4 at the same time. Plus if you are using 20% discount the admin fee is exempted from the discount and added back in. So your calculation might be a bit off. Hope you come back and let us know what CAS was able to do for you.
hallux Posted January 30, 2020 #15 Share Posted January 30, 2020 For the record, I believe that CruiseNext can be used for deposit on ANY cruise, it's effectively cash in your pocket. Rather than forcing you to pick your next cruise NCL allows you to put down money to use at some point in the next 4 years, it's yours to use. I don't know how the rest work. I waited until today, so here's how it went. Turns out, not ALL the cruises qualify for the 30% platinum discount. I had to pick from their inventory. I priced it out on the website, if if I paid retail, it would have been $2980, so whatever these discounts are saved me ~$900 I'd be interested to hear your feedback. Thanks. Never heard of Platinum discount promo. This new? CAS cruise voucher trade in are worth $275/person. Don't you save more with it than the 20% cet discount? NCL had been doing a phone blitz all of january. Yes, the trade in value would have been better, but they wouldn't let me redeem it with the cruise consultant, and said that I needed to use it with CAS. In any case, I still have it as a free cruise to the caribbean, if I want, and that's worth more than the delta between the 550 discount and the diamond discount.
