if they turn me away from the islands, I still have the $18 per day "computer glitch" drink package on the ship.

How the heck did that happen?   LOL

This corona virus issue must be scaring a lot of folks.  We just enjoyed a huge price drop on an upcoming cruise  (nowhere near Asia). Chances are you are quite safe in the Caribbean.

When they have the Heineken virus or the Sam Adams Boston Lager virus I will start to worry, but I have not had a Corona in years! 😁

Did you see

that a paying passenger couple on Diamond Princess (Americans?)

actually died from this thing?

Number of dead: now stands at 2,100+ and counting

What are they going to do with that ship?
Who wants to cruise on that? -even after a deep steam-cleaning?
Can you say Stigma?

We just returned from a Viking cruise in the Caribbean. There was no adjustment to our schedule, no problems onboard, no islands missed, nothing to be concerned about.

Thanks for the feedback. Glad to hear you had a great cruise. 😎

Now it's Feb. 25th. and Italy has become a hot spot!

Why? How come?

ROME and Italy are destination magnets for wealthy Chinese travellers!

Once it's in Europe it could spread fast by rail and coach travel.

Be careful out there!

Article in the local newspaper...

https://www.nationnews.com/nationnews/news/244091/carnival-fascination-offshore

We saw Fascination this evening after sunset -

a bit offshore at what looked like the Quarantine Anchorage

out in Carlisle Bay.

She was not all-lit-up like cruise ships usually display themselves.

Things were very low key.

I recognized her by her outline, not by her lighting!

OK -an interesting graphic

showing Fascination's roundabout course

as she awaited permission to (finally!) dock!

And an article to read..

Captain must've been furious, being held in limbo like this...

Is the port still open to cruise ships?

To the best of my knowledge..

the Bridgetown Port is open to all clean ships that present themselves

BUT now the entire cruise industry is on hold,

there are few cruise ships calling after this weekend, I believe.

Many big cruise ships disgorged themselves of pax this weekend

with no replacement cruisers filling the space for next cruise!
