Jeep rental Cozumel

We are coming in on the Liberty of the Seas at the international cruise port . Is there a place at the port or within walking distance to rent a Jeep for the day ? We want to check out the east side of Cozumel .

Well the best car rental in Cozumel is  Rentadora but it's in San Miguel.  I don't think they have a location near the piers.

Yelp reviews of Ernesto are generally positive on service and pricing.. Jeeps are older though.  You might check Avis and Thrifty sites.  Not sure if they have Jeeps.

We wanted to rent a Jeep last year but were put off by Ernesto’s spotty reviews. We found that to get a Jeep via Alamo or Avis, we’d have to shuttle out to the airport to pick it up and we’d have to return it there as well.  So we opted for a small Chevy SUV.  The AC was much appreciated so we were happy with our choice!

The east coast is beautiful and altogether different from the west coast.  We stopped at a tequila oriented tourist trap on our way, but it was fun. Funky bars and great views on the other side!

We stopped at Playa Palancar on our way back to town for some lunch, cerveza and beach time.

This guy is OK. His 2 door Jeep is a Turd. Go with the newer JK Models (4 door)

We rented from him October 2019

I currently have a rental reservation on 4 door Jeep Wrangler rental from MaryMar for June. They are close to the Puerta Maya pier. I was looking also & they seemed to have very good reviews. We will see when i go.
