Beaches Ocho Rios Resort Day Pass

Beaches (family version of Sandals) is always a resort I gasp at when I see the price for a land vacation, but I'm thinking we can handle a day pass! I see you can call the hotel to book it, they don't come up with tour companies, but just wanted to know if anyone has actually been there for the day? Or I guess even for a land vacation, what's the experience like? Is it worth the hype? Don't want to do an excursion/tour this time, just chill. I tried to do a search but seriously, every post with the word "beach" is coming up and that doesn't help😄
