No, you're right.  I was referring to the certificates.  I've been waiting to see if they would change this now that they offer longer cruises on the certs.  The 7 star cruise is still nice when I see something I like out of New Orleans since it can be combined with the 7 star trip and you get free airfare for the cruise.  New Orleans also adds the $500 folio credit to your card, so you don't have to use it all up before checking out.

I was in NOLA three weekends ago on my annual retreat for that reason as it kicks out the expiration date on the dining folio as it converts them into RCs.  I also had airfare just under a grand, they gave me the full $1200 in free play.

Lots of good info here, thanks I just found out about the new levels of Diamond, good to know.

Now here's my next question, Price Drops, who to I contact for price drops CAS or NCL, right now the price for our room has dropped by about 200, not much to write home about but it does come with all offers instead of just the 2 we choose at the time. From my understanding we can either upgrade to a higher room as long as the prices are the same or slightly more if we pay the difference or we can get OBC right?

I'm not entirely sure with a cabin drop as I had both of my cruise base fares comped (I still paid admin fees, taxes, etc), however I do know for changes it has to be CAS.  They are open for limited hours, NCL general reservations weren't able to help me on a possible change and said I had to speak to CAS.

I was also booked thru CAS (thru Foxwoods Casino), price of cabins on my cruise, the Bliss, March 22nd, had been going down.  Previously, I had called about an upgrade from an inside to a balcony for two people and received a quote of over $1000.  Yesterday, although I called NCL, they then transferred me to CAS. I was able to upgrade and get all 4 perks for a total of $470, which included the auto gratuities on the 3 meal SDP.  The woman I spoke with, who was very helpful, told me that CAS recently changed the way they priced upgrades.  Previously it was on some sort of set casino rate, which never changed for your particular cruise.  Now it is based on the current price of the cabin  you are in and the current price of the upgraded cabin.  She also mentioned something about various categories of cabins within your cabin type.  That part I didn't understand at all, as she said something about picking various priced cabins to base the upgrade on.   Not sure if that was totally true based on prices I had been seeing, or maybe I didn't totally understand, but I'll take that price for an upgrade.  Anyway, moral of the story is that it can't hurt to call.

Great thanks for the info, I'm headed to Vegas tonight and will talk to my host about any comps or deals I'm missing out on for NCL, then I'll keep my eye on the price for our cruise before I call and ask about upgrading or adding OBC

in regards to offers, I find that total rewards offers differ depending on your location. i.e. I am in Canada but they consider me an international players so my offers are different from some domestic players. but at the same time I get NCL offers.
