It is an all Hal day in Port Everglades.

 

Koningsdam will be at pier 26 (starboard to) from 0545-1700.  She is leaving on an 11-day Southern Caribbean Wayfarer cruise.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten (15 Feb 0800-1700); Fort de France, Martinique (16 Feb 0800-1700); Bridgetown, Barbados (17 Feb 0800-1700); Castries, St Lucia (18 Feb 0800-1600); Basseterre, St. Kitts (19 Feb 0800-1700); St Thomas, US Virgin Islands (20 Feb 0800-1700); Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (22 Feb 0800-1500); Fort Lauderdale, Florida (23 Feb a0700)

 

Veendam will be at pier 19 (starboard to) from 0530-1700.  She is doing a 7-day Western Caribbean cruise.

The five short blasts you heard is the “danger signal”, sounded to warn another vessel that “I have no idea of what your intentions are”.  This morning, sounded by Veendam because this idiot was in the middle of the fairway, crossing our bow, when he decided to pass close aboard.  Sorry for the blurry second photo, but you get the idea of how close he was.

Sitting on the balcony at the Embassy Suites watching the traffic on 17th street. Leaving for the Koningsdam at 11:00.  Even after all the HAL cruises, still excited. 1st time as 4 star. Finally
