Strike in costa maya

Recommended Posts

A couple of weeks ago I was on the Edge due in the day after the Reflection. Captain Kate made the decision in the interest of safety to skip the port.

I was booked at Maya Chan, and to their credit I had an email from them that they understood we were not docking and a refund would be issued even before I could email them! The refund was back in my account in 2 days! I've already booked with them for next year as I'm on the Apex for the same itinerary, same week. 🙂

I was hoping to give an update on the strike situation, but we were not able to dock there today due to the weather. Rough seas today emoji305.png

Strike situation was very short lived - only a  couple of hours from local reports. Power situation was unrelated and a regular occurrence.

we had no problems visiting Costa Maya last week or this other than strong winds delaying docking yesterday.
