Cruising out of Yokohama, Japan

I will be taking a cruise out of Yokohama, Japan in early May.  I have never been to Japan so I have some questions. 

1.  At the port, can the taxi drive right up to the cruise embarkation building?  Or do I have to leave the taxi at the port entrance and take a port internal vehicle to the cruise ship?

2. I will have one full size suitcase, about 31" long, 18" wide, and 13" deep.  The Narita Express from the airport to Tokyo Station has a dedicated luggage storage area, so that leg of the trip is no problem.  But on the train from Tokyo to Yokohama, will the train have much luggage storage for a large piece like that?  If not, how do you suggest I move the suitcase?

 

Any advice you can give me is greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Most cruise ships in Yokohama call at the Osanbashi Cruise Terminal. If your ship is there, a taxi can drop you at the front door.

 

Narita Express also continues to Yokohama Station. Why not buy a ticket to Yokohama and get off there? From Yokohama Station you can easily catch a taxi to Osanbashi Terminal. Cost is about 1200 yen. The taxi ride is about 10 minutes.
