Considering 1st B2B

Already have a cruise booked on the Apex for February 2021 and we are considering adding another leg to the cruise. This would be the first time booking a B2B.  Is there anything special I need to know or consider? Are there any discounts for booking a B2B or does the cruise line just consider it 2 separate cruises?

Thanks!

Each leg is considered two separate bookings/cruises.  Make sure when booking you ask for the B2B discount. $50 (per stateroom) for 7 to 9 days and $100 (per stateroom) for 10 days or greater. We always book early to make sure we get the same stateroom for both legs.

Yes they give a OBC for B2B's but there are restrictions.   One of the restrictions they have to be with the same agent if using an agent.   They also invite B2B's to lunch in the Main Dining Room regardless of room category.

You will love it, especially on the night before the end of the cruise when everyone is running around packing and bemoaning the end of the cruise.

If you need to change rooms it is really easy.   Just pack up things in drawers and your room attendant will move everything for you.

Since we live in the middle of Alaska and fly to embarkation and disembarkation ports we almost always do at least a B2B pairing.  The air fare is frequently the same no matter the length of the cruises.

For accounting purposes Celebrity considers the legs individual cruises with different folio numbers even if you are in the same stateroom for each leg.  So unused internet minutes will not roll over to the next leg, nor will non-refundable OBC.  The turnaround day process will be explained in a succinct instruction letter delivered a day or two before, and there may be a meeting to explain the process.

Enjoy your B2B pairing.  So relaxing to stay on board.

I seem to remember that the $50 or $100 discount (depending on the length of the cruise) is per stateroom per leg; so an 8 day cruise combined with a 12 night cruise would give you a total discount of $150 per stateroom. (Note: it is a discount off the price and not additional OBC.)

If you decide to add another cruise and create a B2B, hopefully your TA or Celebrity rep will be able to reprice your current reservation with the B2B discount for that leg.

Good to know! Thank you.

Yes the "discount" is for stateroom, per leg.

You shouldn't have to reprice the first leg.   They should be able to just apply the discount once they join (book keeping) the 2 reservations into a B2B.

We’ve done B2B in the same cabin and different ones.  Really, moving is no problem.  As mentioned, the attendants move you.  Put as much on hangers as you can!  And since you have to be at an assigned place to get together with your other consecutive cruisers pretty early, it’s not like you can sleep in on turn around morning.

Unfortunately onboard the two cruises will be treated as separate as far as your Account is concerned.  Any obc for the first cruise can't be carried over to the second and your account has to be settled before a new account is opened for the next cruise.
