RCI Visa Points and OBC

Several years ago I was able to redeem RCI Visa points for OBC prior to the cruise and spend it in the planner prior to the cruise.  I redeemed points a few weeks ago, but there is no indication in the planner they have been applied.  Is this still a thing?

I read a thread on this a couple weeks ago and I believe people said to stick with redeeming closer to the cruise as the OBC would show up a couple weeks out from the cruise. Someone correct me if I'm wrong 😇

Thanks for the info, we're still a few weeks from final payment.  I was hoping to take advantage of the OBC and current sales.

Call the redemption line and ask them if they can apply it sooner.   I have seen reports that they will do so upon request.

You can also call Royal to see if it has been applied.  They will send you an email if you ask showing the OBC. As others have mentioned, you may be too far out from your cruise.

I was able to call the redemption center 30 days prior to my 02/24/20 Mariner cruise and they stated it would be available two weeks before. I signed in RCCL the next day and the $500 OBC was there. I think they felt sorry for me. Ha! Either way, call and ask if they would have it available so you can purchase items before the two weeks, you never know.
