Is Chankanaab too crowded?

There will be 7 large cruise ships in port with roughly 33,000 passengers all together.

Does Chankanaab get too crowded?

The $20 admission fee tends to keep some of the crowds away, but they also host some cruise line excursions. 7 ships is only slightly above average for Cozumel, so I would not worry too much. You can guarantee that it will not be crowded if you book Nachi Cocom, which limits itself to 130 customers per day.

I would not worry about it Chankanaab is pretty spread out.

Cozumel normally has many ships. We've been to Chankabaab 3 times and it has never been crowded.

We went when there were 4 ships in port.  There was hardly anybody at Chankabaab.  I think it's a well kept secret.  Enjoy!

The $20 per adult admission fee discourages many.
