Seems that it is booked for December 5th so not sure what else to book for about $200

There are other hotels located in the Mary Brickell area, including a Homewood Suites if you are chasing Hilton points, although the location is not as good.  Other popular downtown hotels include Holiday Inn, intercontinental, Doubletree and the next door Marriott.

Art Basel Miami, which brings in tens of thousands of visitors is that weekend (Dec 3 - Dec 6). Last year's attendance was over 80,000; obviously all weren't from out of town but enough are to fill up hotels and jack up prices.

$418 a night is a bit much for a one night stay. I only paid a couple hundred more for a 6 night cruise. lol

 

Anybody have any thoughts on the AC hotel? I think it's in Doral. I realize it's a ways out but it's a lot cheaper.

Pretty sure they offer one, no clue what the cost is.  I have been with friends who had a vehicle the times I stayed there.

It's probably a pretty cheap Uber ride, too -- probably cheaper to Uber than pay for the hotel's shuttle!
