NewKansasKruiser Posted February 24, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2020 I am researching the Steakhouse dress code. It says "cruise casual". So am I correct that denim and a collared shirt is acceptable for a male?
Joe817 Posted February 24, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2020 Yes, I would wear khakis, but that is your choice.
evandbob Posted February 24, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2020 The OP will be fine with those dress choices. On some ships, they've been trying out a very casual dress code for one night only where shorts and tees are acceptable. If the ship is doing that, inquire about what night from reservations, or look in the fun times for a blurb promoting it.
Rare Saint Greg Posted February 24, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 24, 2020 I do jeans and a polo on cruise casual nights.
HillBilly Bob Posted February 24, 2020 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2020 We consider our evening at Steakhouse to be a "special" date and dress for the event. Resort casual is reserved for the MDR and other dining options.

Rare Roz Posted February 24, 2020 #7 Share Posted February 24, 2020 I did the Steakhouse for the first time on my recent Panama Canal Journeys cruise. I dressed up a bit and I noticed that most diners took it up a notch from casual. There were passengers celebrating anniversaries and birthdays. One lady came in wearing capris, a hoodie, and athletic shoes. Not what I would wear but they let her in.
