Ironing

I debated whether I should iron before packing, but decided they would just get wrinkled again so why bother.

I would rather not stand in the laundry room ironing everything.

I was wondering if anyone know how much it costs to pay for it to be done on the ship?

Not sure cost but I have found that anything I hang in the bathroom with shower running loses its wrinkles pretty quickly.   The bathrooms are so small that the steam quickly fills the room.

I always do same thing in the bathroom as above and it's worked for 30 years. Ironing takes a day to get back...I believe dress used to be $4.00?

i use the wrinkle release and then hang in the shower. i do iron anything necessary (like a dress shirt) before. then use the wrinkle release or steam as needed. my husband will take his dress shirt and pants and iron them one day and it only takes 15min once

Carnival ships have self-service launderettes.  Ironing is free.....washing machines or dryers at a small cost.

Ironing rooms, as you know you cannot bring an iron onto the ship but you don't have to go around all wrinkly, yes you can have your pressing sent out but if you want to save a little money you can do it yourself at these locations:

 

first deck across #1423

six deck across from 6360

eight deck across from 8395

nine deck across from 9403

 

The ironing rooms have two boards and two irons, you have to bring your own starch. They also sport a large sink which might be good to do your hand washables in.

I steam my clothes in the shower too. Works pretty well.

Do you know what size the washer and dryer are? I notice Carnival says $1.50 for box of laundry soap and water softener. I'm assuming that is $1.50 each, and is water softener necessary?

 

Just debating on if I should try to bring my own pods, since I've had skin reactions in the past that I assume relates to certain types of soaps.

They're $7.50 now per Carnival's price list.
