You may also want to specify which cruise line you are on, as if this is an excursion booked through them their website should also be able to provide that information in describing the excursion.  Additionally, a search in the CC Forums will locate the link to your cruise line board, on which you can also post this question for responses there. Here is the link to the Forums:

Another suggestion is to post the topic of your question in the title of your thread, not your screen name.  This will identify your question more easily to generate helpful responses.

Enjoy your cruise!

Thank you for your new thread on the Ask a Cruise Question forum that is for general questions about cruising. 👍

Since your thread concerns a specific excursion in a specific port-of-call, I have moved your thread to the Ports of Call - Caribbean - Tortola forum where it will be on-topic. Please browse through the thread titles on this new forum looking for threads of interest. You will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that will be of interest to you.

I see from one of your other posts you are cruising on Marella Explorer 2. So if your excursion is ship-sponsored and not a private excursion you have booked on your own, I suggest you repost your inquiry on the Marella Cruises (formerly Thomson) forum. The majority of your fellow Cruise Critic members that have sailed Marella & possibly booked the same ship-sponsored excursion as you, frequent that forum. Hopefully they will provide you ship-sponsored excursion feedback there.

Anytime you need to start a new thread on a forum, first make sure you are in the correct forum for your topic. Word your new thread title in a way to help the members know exactly the information you seek. This greatly helps the members browsing through the thread titles and if they know the information they will reply to you. It is best to limit each inquiry to only one topic or concerning one cruise line, one ship, one port of call, etc. and of course, on the correct forum. emo3.gif  You will get more replies that way. Be sure to mention your cruise line, ship, port or sail date in your inquiry. It will help the members to have the information they need in order to help you.

And since you have used your user name as this thread's title, to help you out I have changed the title to Question regarding an excursion to Cane beach BVI.

I sincerely hope this will be helpful and glad to have you aboard Cruise Critic! emo35.gif

Happy sails,

Usually the lounges/sunbeds and umbrellas are included with your cruise line excursion.

But you can go to Cane Garden Bay on your own with no excursion. Taxi is $8/pp each way, lounges/umbrellas are available for rent at different beach restaurants.

Please read other threads in the Tortola forum to get a better feel for CGBN and other beach options.

Sure!
the cruise line excursion may be cheaper, I don’t know. But there really is no more convenience with that option. Several safari taxis will be dropping folks who are taking the ship excursion along with folks going on their own, you are all together. Some people prefer the flexibility of going on their own, some prefer the excursion.
For a day at CGB it doesn’t matter which  you choose really, it will be busy. I don’t know your port times or how many ships are in port. But I would suggest researching the Baths on Tortola’s sister island Virgin Gorda, there are ship excursions there as well - enjoy your cruise!
