Just got back from the captains corner on Ovation.

 I asked about gossip on Lelupa .

No one knew about it but the chef engineer just come from Miami did.

He said wonder will be home ported in Brisbane in our seasons and will sail to the company island.

Isn't it 362 meters long?

 

I'm not sure even the new port will handle that.

The new terminal is supposed to take Oasis class and bigger

2022 the new island is supposed to open and wonder is due in one year I believe.

Ovation was fairly new.

Spectrum is even newer than Ovation.

Yes Ovation was launched in March 2015 and arrived in Australian waters 9 months later. 

Wonder of the seas is destined for the Asian Market based on current info from RCL so it makes some kind of sense that they may bring it to Australia during the Northern Winter period. That's what they did for Ovation and what Voyager does currently.

But Spectrum wasn't scheduled to sail from Australia, it was the result of circumstance. Apples and oranges.

True, hopefully it will hang around longer than the freeby cruises being offered (now doing a 3rd one).

Did you get into the suite area when you were on spectrum.

I like the look of the suite sun deck and bar on top of the solarium.

 

quantam class has a lack of bars with a view.
The new one odyssey has bars in the top of the seaplex.Somthing like the Viking crown lounge on voyager.

We had a silver suite so yes but Diamonds were allowed into the Silver lounge anyway, the next cruise they were not, the cruise after they were, it seems it is diamond numbers dependent.

Cruise deckplans has information on wonder.

Looking at the deck plans the ship is not Asianised.

Lots of bars ,small casino with all the western venues.

Interesting, I suppose it may be destined for places other than Asia then.

Also it notes a large tender area and capacity.

All other Oasis class aren’t tender capable.

No you have to order Chicken tenders of the kids menu .

They give you a tender ticket.

Once you got your chicken tender ticket you go to deck 2.

 Unique to wonder of the seas.

Ahh, now I get it. I try and avoid those places on ships as if they see you down there your seaboard account ends up looking sicker than what your were.

Cruise mapper has a pretty good video, it’s of symphony but their almost  the same .
