Freestyle Libre Glucose Sensor

Has anyone cruised using the Libre Freestyle glucose sensor? I have only had mine for a month or two hand have not traveled with it yet. If so can you wear it and go on and off the ship ok with it? I know it says not be go through X-ray with it on so just seeing what others have done.

We travel with someone who has a pacemaker and can't go through x-ray.  He just tells security and they take him to the side and do a quick manual search.

There is a metal detector to get on the ship, not an x-ray. I wear my Dexcom through the metal detector with no issues.

Thank you!  I know my dad has a CGM but couldn't recall what he had so I could accurately reply.  He and my mom are avid cruisers (finishing a B2B on Princess this weekend) and I don't recall him having trouble with his.

Our son wears Omnipod and Dexcom, we ask for pat downs through all security.  Nothing would be worse than having these devices fail at sea with no possibility for replacement.

I wear one. Never an issue  X-ray doesn’t affect it.

I’ve been wearing the Freestyle Libre for nearly five years (transformed my life, honestly). I’ve been through 100s of airport scanners and on and off a few cruise ships - including most recently NCL Getaway, this month. No issues, no need to declare it. If I get a ‘pat down’ imposed I make them aware so they don’t accidentally knock it off.
