Switching People in Room

I have just booked two rooms under two different reservations, with my wife and her friend in one and the other one has myself and my wife's friend husband.  I have tried to switch the names so my wife and I are in the same room, but on-line is not letting me do this, and when I called Carnival they stated they could not switch the names, because the other couple  has not cruise with Carnival.  Not a big deal I know we could just switch when we arrive on the ship, but I just wanted to see if there was a way to do it before arriving on ship so I could put in the credit card information for me and my wife.

You can set up individual accounts for everyone. Once on the ship get extra key cards for each room.
