What do you do first thing on board?

Go to the pool bar and have a Bloody Mary. Next stop is the MDR for lunch to avoid the zoo at the buffet.Then back to the pool bar. Explore a little if I have not been on the ship before. Go to the room as soon as it is ready. Do the muster drill then to the upper deck for sail away.

Go straight to the Atrium Bar.  Grab a drink, relax, toast to your vacation, and watch the ship going into a feeding frenzy.  Do not worry...there will be food left for the remainder of the cruise.  JMO 🙂

After hectic trip to port grab quiet lunch at Cagney's (if lucky to be in suite) then unpack before sailway. As we sail out of port vacation has begun.

We usually head right to the buffet, then wander some of the common areas of the ship (not pool deck) to get photos without hoards of people in them.  Then go to our room and hopefully suitcases are there and unpack.  Vacation doesn't start for us until muster drill is over.  

 

But on our upcoming cruise we are with DH's parents.  I think the buffet might be too crazy for them on embarkation day so we will go to MDR for lunch.  Have a big leisurely lunch as buffet is the plan for the 1st night dinner.  This might be our new tradition depending on how the MDR works out.

I like Prosecco too but the first drink on a cruise is defenitely Champagne!

 

On MSC the cheapest Champagne is included in the Yacht Club and if I ever cruise on NCL again I will pay for the Champagne if it isn't included!
