BigEd1340 Posted April 26, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2004 Ok....just got back from Carnival's Victory to San Juan, St. Maarten, ST. Thomas.....as far as the ports, SanJuan was great...went to Senor Frogs..we all had a blast. St. Maarten was good, we rented scooters at the end of the pier(where they are like a pack of wild dogs looking for food), ST Thomas was pretty, took the ferry over to ST John and went horseback riding at Carolina Stables....Dana was absolutley great!!!! Now, as for the Victory itself...the rooms, food, layout, service, pool was by far GREAT!! The bars...what a joke!!! The Disco is 16 yrs old and up...that doesnt work, and security was lame so we had alot of DRUNK *** teeny boppers running all over the place and the all over the ship late at night. Teens were harassing passengers all night trying to score alcohol, barfing all over the place. The DJ in the Disco stunk...when it's 70's & 80's night, he should try playing some!! The "Sportsbar"...HA..WHAT A JOKE!! Not one sports program all week because they only get the network ABC, CBS....etc...How can you have a sportsbar and not have ESPN????? I was not pleased sitting there catching up on Wheel of Fortune, General Hospital, and Joan of Arcadia!!! The guy behind the bar knew nothing!! My camera was stolen by one of the waiters off the table behind us in the Black and Red room bar...(he knows he did it cause when he cleaned off the table he was seen picking it up). Casino was very nice, Atrium was gorgeous....TOO MANY KIDS RUNNING ALL OVER!!! Hey Carnival, if the kids are drunk off their butts at 2am in the hallways, dont look the other way, wake up their lame parents and ask them where their kids are!! Not all was bad like I said....most of the ship was great, staff,(except the DJ "Yves") just hope they clean it up!!! kimberlys Posted April 26, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2004 I was reading over your review and it reminded me of my cruise last year . . . exactly. We had the same ports. We loved the ship, food, and had a great time, but the teen-agers were OUT of CONTROL!!!! This year we sailed on the Miracle and it seemed much quieter. Does anyone know if this is a problem with most cruise ships or a select few??? I definately think children under the age of 18 need a curfew, and if they get out of hand, find their parents or throw them overboard! -kim until we sail the BRAND NEW MIRACLE! gymbrat33 Posted April 26, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2004 I was on the Victory on 3/28 and there were a lot of drunk college kids. The high school kids were well behaved. On the Glory they had a night club for the teens and another for adults. Also for karaoke on the Glory no kids were allowed. They had their karaoke party at another club.
