Taking Advantage Of Unbelievable Carnival Cruise Offer!

Less than a week ago I disembarked from Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas after a week long cruise to Nassau, Coco Cay and Key West. When I returned I checked my email and had a pretty fantastic last minute casino offer from Carnival on the Glory that left the following day for another 7 nights. I asked this great community if they would consider taking back to back cruises if they had the means to do so with less than 24 hours notice. Many of you agreed it be crazy to pass up! Between exhaustion and just wanting to sleep in my own bed I decided not to take the offer 😭. When I woke up that Sunday I instantly regretted not waking up at sea!

I just checked my Carnival offers as they change quite frequently. Currently I have an offer for a 7 night Eastern Caribbean on the Carnival Glory leaving out of New Orleans on March 15th with stops in Key West, Nassau and Freeport. While I have been to all 3 of these ports I will NEVER be able to cruise for this cheap again and might as well take advantage of it!

$40.00 interior.

$90.00 oceanview.

$120.00 FOR A BALCONY!

Any cabin I book also comes with a $100.00 on-board credit.

Usually I stay in an interior room as I don't spend much time in the cabin but for $80.00 more for a balcony room I couldn't pass up and just booked this trip leaving out on Sunday ☺️.

My total came to $233.64 plus I have a $100.00 stateroom credit. Simple math by including the $100.00 stateroom credit is I just paid $133.64 for a balcony room on a 7 night cruise. Is this real life 😲?

Anyone else seen anything come across their VIFP offers they couldn't pass up?

That's excellent for you. I don't live anywhere near a port nor would I be able to get off work. We just found out last night that my employer is restricting travel also.

But have a blast, and post some updates!

Yup.  I’m also getting these ridiculously great offers. My problem is no one wants to go with me. 😞  I think people are just scared.

To be completely honest my personal preference is cruising solo. The 7 night cruise I just disembarked on Sunday I did solo. Most ships these days have multiple solo traveler get together's and meet ups on the ship. This is where you meet fellow solo travelers and can eat together,  plan excursions etc. Sure you may be getting on the cruise solo at the time of embarkation but cruising is the easiest way to meet people even for a solo traveler. I refuse to not live my life and do the things I want to do based off whether someone else wants to do it with me or not. That's just me though ☺️

I couldn't agree more.  I've been on 25+ cruises and my favorite was the first one all by myself at the age of 23.

However, I think my husband is worried that I'd infect him when I came back, if I ended up getting sick and/or had to be quarantined at home.

Just booked for Thursday on the Sunshine out of Charleston. Was $20 for Int. $60 for OV and $80 for balcony- These were solo rates. So wife is going to take care of kids and I will be doing my first Solo cruise.

That's awesome glad you are taking advantage! The rates I posted above were all solo rates as well. Please post back after your cruise how you enjoyed your first solo experience!

I tried earlier and same thing. So I get a email says up to 45% off, scroll thru offers, says Dream 5 day from 138 pp. I click and it immediately says starting price for inside, the lowest price is 169.

I cant get anything at the "prices from" price.

Fake advertising...what's the point. I cant ever get the price they say to come up.

I might go to the bother of a 5 day at 138, but not at 169 pp. I'd wait for a 7 day, still costs as much gas etc. I'm solo, but the price changes even before I put that in. I dont like fake prices either.

I feel the exact same way how can you say no to it? I wished my cruises would of been spaced more apart as it will have only been a week since my last cruise and I set sail on this itinerary but I will take what I can get! From what I am reading it might get worse before it gets better for the cruise industry and I am going to ride this wave as long as I can 😀

What a great price & yeah,  too good to pass up.  You seem like the type of guy who makes friends easily & will no doubt have a wonderful time!  (Just remember to 👊🏻😉).  Enjoy that balcony 🌞🌞🌞

Are you getting VIFP or casino rates?  We've gotten a few deals but none as great as yours.

That's a great question and sorry for any confusion! It was in fact a last minute casino offer under my VIFP offers!

I have found the same issue today.  I select an advertised price and one of two things happens: either the price is for an upper/lower and there is only one available, with an additional $26-$36 per person per day for a regular interior, or the price immediately jumps to the higher price (I assume once the only upper/lower has been booked).

With those prices you should go solo. Though you'd be paying for two its a heck of a lot cheaper. I've travelled solo and with others I love both. Each have their advantages.

I tried to find out if was a 1a, I'm ok with them as only very old ships have a upper and lower. The majority of ships have a bed and sofa bed. I'm solo so dont need the beds to push together.

But I tried for hours and now I cant click to show offers for my vipf #. Keeps asking if I have one.

That's why I started my question as a separate thread. I'm wondering if it's my android tablet or what. But I cant even see offers for hours now

I purposely didnt show my number but right below it I click to show the deals for my vipf #. See where it says on deals? Dont have a vipf #.

I can no longer get in to even see deals. Android issue, carnival site? Anyone else having issues?

I have often thought about doing a solo cruise, but I'm not a big fan of meeting new people, I don't even like sitting at the large tables in MDR, but that's just me, I prefer to travel with my husband or friends. Different strokes for different folks, it's all how individuals choose to live their lives and what makes them happy. Happy Cruising my friend!!!

How much do you need to play to get the casino offers?  Do you play slots, blackjack or poker? We cruise 4/19 I may have to pay the casino a visit!

It's all based off average bet and time you play. I personally play blackjack betting anywhere between $25.00 to $100.00 a hand. I despise slot machines but you do rack up points quickly there then you do at table games. I would say I play about 80% table games and 20% slots. When I do play slots I am max betting the machine to get as many points per spin. The way I look at it if I lose I am prepaying for a future vacation and you are going to spend the money one way or the other :-D!
