Category Sold Out - Is there a way to still check for price drops?

Hello!

 

We are in a star loft on Oasis for next January. All the star lofts are booked. I swear I saw a thread talking about checking on price drops for sold out categories.

 

Our TA said since they are sold out we cannot check for price drops. This makes total sense to me but I am remembering someone explaining how to check.

Anyone?

Pretty sure your TA is correct...you won’t find any prices (higher or lower) for sold out categories. Of course somebody could cancel or upgrade, causing a stateroom in your category to come available again at some point; then you would see prices again.

You can check the price of sold out categories on s e a s c a n n e r. However, if the category is sold out you cannot re-price your reservation to get the lower price.

If the cabin class is sold out, any site citing a price is pure speculation. The room does not exist in inventory.

Actually, this is what has been reported here:

 

Call and ask for the price on your category.  Sometimes the person on the phone will answer you. There is no need to explain why you want to know.

I was able to get a price drop on a sold out category but like Carol said you have to call them.
