For those staying overnight near Cape Liberty in Bayonne (Secaucus, Jersey City, Newark, NYC) looking for entertainment, the American Dream Mall - 1 American Dream Way, East Rutherford NJ opened in the fall of 2019. It is located in the Meadowlands Sports Complex in the parking lot of the arena, easily accessed by auto via NJ route 3.  Parking is free (with exceptions) $10 valet parking. On days with events occurring at Met Life Stadium, which is in the sports complex, parking fee $30 and more! Public transit options at end

 

The owners of this mall also operate the Mall of America in Minnesota and West Edmonton Mall in Alberta. It is a shopping, dining and entertainment complex. As of March 2020 only 1 store is open, "It' Sugar" a candy department store. No restaurants are yet open but food is available from kiosks.

My kids had a lot of fun skiing here.

Crazy expensive especially for a precruise stay.

But fun for a day trip before cruise for those not wanting to go into the city.
