2crazcruzrs Posted April 27, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2004 1. How many comedy shows are there? 2. On Cozumel, are there any restaurants right on the sea where you can actually sit at a table overlooking the water? Thanks 6/12 Carnival Triumph! Dr. Octagon Posted April 27, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2004 I've never been to Cozumel, but I hear "Coconuts" has a great view. Someone back me up on this! fascination 5/10 Posted April 27, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 27, 2004 There are at least two bars right at the cruise dock where you can sit and enjoy the water view.. prob for the best view, visit the one way down at the end of the shops...sorry...don't remember the name. BabsandPaul Posted April 27, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 27, 2004 2Crazcruzrs, If you are looking for something a little more adventurous, rent a car and drive over to the Eastern side of the island...many rustic bar/restaraunts on that shore. We ate at one called Chen Rio and loved it...you can find more info about Coz on the Ports of Call boards. Cotton Posted April 27, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2004 Fat Tuesdays is located at the end of the Int'l Pier at Cozumel. You can sit there and see all the ships, passengers, etc. There is also one located to the right of the pier...don't know name. tjevans Posted April 27, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 27, 2004 On Conquest, there were 4 shows -- two R-rated, and two PG. There is a Fat Tuesday's at the end of the pier and a Pancho's Backyard at the other end of the shops. Both have water views, but no real beach. <applet code="countdown.class" CODEBASE="http://*************/java-sys" width="203" height="25"> <param name="font" value="lcdb0"> <param name="year" value=2004> <param name="month" value=4> <param name="day" value=18> <param name="hour" value=18> </applet> Carnival Conquest 4/18/
dan40 Posted April 27, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 27, 2004 All ships dock and most of the attractions are on the western [LEEWARD] side of the island. There are many many restaurants that have views of the harbor and the water. About 30 miles west, across the water is the mainland. So with the mainland on one side and the lee of the island on the other, the water is fairly calm most of the time. If you want a view of the "ocean" with waves and all, you have to get to the eastern [WINDWARD] side of the island. natters Posted April 27, 2004 #10 Share Posted April 27, 2004 I agree with Coconuts, but it is on the eastern side and you will have to take a cab or rent a vehicle but it is well worth it, it's actually on a bluff over looking the water and if its rough the water will spray your face, awesome. We are heading there May 6th on the sensation. I too will check out Chen Rio this time, also heard Playa Moreno is great too.
