Clean rooms, friendly staff plus the option to buy breakfast for +£24. They will call you a taxi, which is only a 10 min drive, depending on traffic. There's also a good TGI Fridays or a McDonalds, with 5 mins walk :- https://www.expedia.co.uk/Southampton-Hotels-Ibis-Southampton-Centre.h3431.Hotel-Information?chkin=2024-04-27&chkout=2024-04-28&x_pwa=1&rfrr=HSR&pwa_ts=1709548656083&referrerUrl=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZXhwZWRpYS5jby51ay9Ib3RlbC1TZWFyY2g%3D&useRewards=false&rm1=a2®ionId=3245&destination=Southampton%2C+England%2C+United+Kingdom&destType=MARKET&neighborhoodId=553248635810423085&latLong=50.900631%2C-1.40391&sort=RECOMMENDED&top_dp=121&top_cur=GBP&userIntent=&selectedRoomType=200691819&selectedRatePlan=204003726&searchId=61e2363f-fa35-4a9c-9f0d-5371bd0e874e They also do park packages which can be reasonable, a bit more than west quay multi storey, cheaper than ABP. For MSC using Horizon it's <10min walk from Ibis We prefer the town centre(depending on price) better choice of pubs and restaurants.

Looking at Ibis's map, you'd need to cross the busy W Quay Road (A33) via the Southern Road underpass, so taxi is fave at the moment. I'd forgotten about the Ibis parking option. We're doing a Trans in 2 months, so I'll look at their prices, thanks.

Then in the morning it’s an easy 5 minute walk to the terminal as it seems to be downhill. When you get near the terminal don’t follow the road around, there a pavement that cuts through s saving a few minutes.

bluecontrolman Posted April 21 #332 Share Posted April 21 I wasn't sure where to put this - but I thought that it was pretty funny that only things not included on my recent cruise (with premium drinks package) were bottles of champagne and . . . . . ice cream! €14 Premium spirits cocktails - Sure. €4.50 scoop of mint choc - no chance. nalrudaini Posted May 3 #335 Share Posted May 3 Greetings fellow cruisers. First timer on MSC, sailing out of Southampton. With RC and NCL (US sailings), we could disembark whenever we want (after custom clearance) if we are carrying our luggage with us. Does the same apply with MSC and UK customs, or do I have to adhere to the timing provided by the ship? Thank you in advance.

There's a self-disembark time slot, but so many people try to use it, it somewhat defeats the purpose. We always stay on board as long as possible to let the crowds disperse, have a leisurely breakfast, grab a few drinks to go and make full use of the facilities and drinks package, dispite having priority disembarkation. 2

Juliecruzin Posted June 3 #339 Share Posted June 3 Considering booking a Msc cruise from Southampton later this year. When booking it gives the option of save and sail or save and sail with drinks. Does anyone know what drinks are included with this deal, I’ve found different drinks packages elsewhere on the site but can’t seem to find details of what is included with the booking offer. Rare debsjc Posted June 20 #342 Share Posted June 20 Just booked the Virtuosa for August, and we haven't sailed MSC for many years A couple of questions please 1 - Do we have any choice over embarkation time, or do they just assign it? I know with some cruise lines you can select an option online, or when you check-in 2- Does anyone have a discount code for AB parking at Southampton, that gives any more than 10% off please? Gocruise_fromMiami Posted June 23 #348 Share Posted June 23 We will flight from US to London and will be onboard to MSA Virtuosa soon. We are wondering how we will spend time after disembarkation of the ship in Southampton. Do you have any information if MSC provides any post-cruise excursions in Southampton? I cannot find any on the web site.
