I started doing that weeks ago. Just one or two dishes a week. I usually do that with stews/casseroles anyway. Why cook two serves when I can cook six/eight/ten serves just as easily, that way I get a break from cooking sometimes. But over the past few weeks we've tried not to use the stuff in the freezer and cook something different instead so we have a better selection in the freezer.

As OzKiwiJJ has mentioned, ensure you have contacted your pharmacist to assure you of supplies. I'd hate to go without it now.

Some stores are reducing their hours so that they can restock and clean the stores overnight.

Yep, having a script filled tomorrow. The meds for Rheumatoid Arthritis are NOT the ones I want to run short on.😲

Coles and Woolworths have announced that they will open earlier just for seniors. From memory, it is 7am to 8am for seniors at Woolies.

While Aldi are opening one hour later than usual, went there today for my normal bi weekly shop, waste of time.

As long as I can get fresh fruit and veg from my local greengrocer (yes they are still around) I am happy.

Seems like you will need a holiday after this is all over.You might inspire me to get stuck into doing some more things around the house, especially now that we have been asked to not visit my mother, an almost a daily occurrence, in her aged care facility.

Just wondering  why they are not deporting them straight away. Whose paying for the 14 days enforced isolation? They were breaking the rules.

My husband has a friend who on Monday returned from a cruise Dubai to Dubai as well as spending a few days in Dubai post cruise. Since he returned Monday he has been to collect his dog from the kennels, done his grocery shopping and then today has been out to get his liquor supplies.

Why do they not have a hot line to report these people flouting  the rules?  I imagine he is only one of many.

I think there is a hotline. I recall seeing something in the announcement of the self-isolation rule. What state are you in?

On TV they mentioned that there are fines up to $1,300 for non-compliance.

I just remember them avoiding any question  about "dobbing" and just said they expect people to encourage their mates to do the right thing.

 

Great ethos, eh. But sums up their lackadaisical approach much of the time.

We have found in the past that most people do not dob on friends and family no matter what the crime.
