My DD was Activities Manager for Celebrity Cruises and keeps in touch with former colleagues. One of them joined Virgin Voyages. Only those that wanted to remain on board are left.

I'd imagine its probably easier for a lot of the international staff to stay on board because they don't have to pay for a place or face travel restrictions trying to get home
